The Golden Triangle Trikers welcome anyone with a love for trikes to attend our get togethers, which will be posted on the website, Trike Talk and/or the printable newsletter. If anyone is ever in the Golden Triangle area (Beaumont, Port Arthur, Orange or surrounding area), send me an e-mail or call and leave a message.

Everyone is also invited to join Texas Gulf Coast Trikers at our regular monthly gathering at I-HOP in Kemah for dinner at 5:30 pm and the meeting at 6 pm on the first Friday of the month. This invitation also includes any rides or other events in the future.

Ok, folks...

We had our first meeting regarding the Reunion in Eureka Springs and this is what we have planned. Thursday at noon, we will set up the meeting hall and begin welcoming members. Friday, we expect the majority to come in, so it will be a day of hanging out and visiting with a campfire that evening. We will be having a pre-ride meeting, where we will be planning the route and all stops. We will set up a schedule, so we have plenty of time to stop for lunch at noon and we will be back by 3. We are going to print out maps with the itinerary in case we get separated.

Saturday morning, we will have pancake breakfast at 8 am and the ride will begin at 10. Jim and Marilyn are donating breakfasts for Saturday and Sunday. Awesome huh? Saturday evening at 5:00, we will be having a dinner again. This year, the menu will be 2 pieces of fried chicken, baked beans (Ahha no cooking for Lefty and Tim!!) cole slaw, potatoes, salad, roll, butter, tea, and cookies. After everyone goes thru once, folks will be welcome to grab themselves more. The price will be set later and we will be taking donations for the deserts. We will be selling tickets till saurday morning, so we know how much to get. We had a lot of leftovers last year due to people who bought tickets and then didn't eat, but it was almost all eaten by the end of the weekend and we still made a little for the fund this year. We hope to do a little better with that part in 2016. As we don't charge dues, we do need to have some cash coming in. We will be having a raffle that evening. Ozarks Trikers is Donating a basket and if any of you branches would like to donate someting to raffle off, that would be awesome.

We will do 50/50's during the Sunday morning breakfast and hang out time before folks start leaving. We will have the meeting hall open till monday morning if anyone is staying longer. i know quite a few said they were going to. As of February 12th, Jim is now watching over our members list, which he has set up very nicely in our own database for the group. Anyone with concerns over member forms and such can contact him or let me know and I'll get ahold of him.

Hope to see some new faces this year at one or more of our  events. As always, get your knees in the breeze and be safe...

OREGON

Salem Oregon Triadics

Hello from Salem, OR.

We are finally getting some riding weather. You just have to find cover if a cloud drifts by.  Wally and I took a 5 hour ride into the hills near here last Saturday and found lots of very little wildflowers in bloom.  The dusky Canada geese are stopping by on their way north and there are wolves in Oregon again. (They just shot 4 of them for killing livestock.  They had been tagged and were identified before they were shot.)  Too bad.

Gene's trike is on the road with a new head.  Wally has been starting up various vehicles from their long winter naps.  Myron is hoping to get to working in his shop.  Been on the sick list.

We lost long-time BTW friend Ray Neuman to a staph infection recently. He had the most beautiful blue trike which was burned up in a house fire before Ray's death.  Patriot Guards saw him off.

We are still eating and smoozing twice a month with rides as possible. Call us and join us.  503-990-6250
Happy Spring riding to you all,

Wally and Marsha McPheeters,

Co-Leaders, Salem Oregon Triadics

The weather in the Redwood Empire area of California has been great. We have group rides on the first and third Sunday of the month. All are welcome to join us if you are ever in Sonoma County, California.

Ride safe,

Texas Gulf Coast Chapter Members in Hill Country

A 2/3 of actual size replica of Stonehenge in England and copies of the statues from Easter Island are located in Hunt, Texas about five miles from Kerrville. Captain Morgan and Firstmate celebrate their wedding anniversaries with a ride to do the Three Sisters, one of the most popular motorcycle rides in Texas (a figure-eight shaped, 225 mile run with roller coaster hills and switchbacks across several mountaintops). Their ride always includes a visit to the old Koyote ranch, which has been renamed Medina Highpoint Resort, where the urinals are loaded with unopened beer bottles packed in ice!!! Captain Sundance and Beatriz joined them this year to celebrate their 54th anniversary.

APRIL MEETING

Large Heading

Getting new wheels is always a good excuse for a ride, so Maddawg, his son &

nephew from Golden Triangle Trikers decided to cruise from Vidor to Galveston. They were joined by Captain & Firstmate from Gulf Coast Trikers in Kemah. The food was great when they stopped for lunch at The Spot, a popular restaurant right on the Seawall that is very biker friendly.
