Diana Moll is doing well and says she feels better than she has in years since her surgery. She is back to riding their new Can Am with her husband, George, and is happy to be once again be healthy enough to participate in the meet and greets and rides with her Triadics family in the Texas Gulf Coast Trikers. The four aspirins given her in the doctor's office probably saved her life. Anyone with severe chest pains might consider doing the same thing until medical help arrives.

BRANCH NEWS

NEWSLETTER March 2015

Page 12

Other than our regular meeting the first Friday of the month at Noah's Ark, followed by pancakes at I-Hop, our branch has not been able to do any meet and greets or rides due to the unpredictable weather. We have had a lot of rain and extreme temperature variations that will hopefully level off soon, but are happy to live so far south that snow is not a problem. Everyone is anxious to get back on the road and do what we all love.

Another thing keeping me off the trike was a major health issue that came up. It was a shock and a surprise to be told I probably had a malignant basal cell carcinoma (cancer) on my face by a dermatologist/plastic surgeon as soon as we were introduced at my daughter's med spa. He informed me that I needed to get it biopsied immediately and got me scheduled for an appointment the next day. He was correct in his suspicions and let me know I had to decide if I wanted to go through surgery or face a long and drawn-out series of chemo and radiation treatments. I immediately opted for the surgery, which was done on February 17, even though it will require some reconstruction later. Afterward, he was happy to report that I can be 99.99% certain I am cancer free. He has never had cancer return to any of his patients who had him do this procedure during his 25 years in practice.

Everyone should be checked who has warts, moles, dark "sun" spots or any other unusual markings anywhere on their body. This can happen to anyone who has experienced many years of fun in the sun, as I have. Boating, water skiing, living in your pool or on a sunny beach all day every summer, white water rafting, scuba diving and even triking great distances, as Captain Morgan and I have, can put your skin at risk for sun damage. A good medical checkup with a competent dermatologist can save your life.

Golden Triangle Trikers

Hello family and friends and neighbors,

The Golden Triangle Trikers, a branch of the Triadics family, has been dormant this last month due to Texas weather and projects around the house that needed to be taken care of before we start riding and they get put off till next winter. We did manage to have a meet and greet on February 8th, where we had a great time and fellowship. Our monthly meeting was held on February 20th at the Red Wagon Cafe in Vidor Texas, with 6 members and 1 guest present. We went over The Way It`ll Go statement and the Rules of Conduct. All members agreed to both and we went over the items in the Triadics store at this time, with more items to be added as we grow. If anyone is ever in the Golden Triangle area (Beaumont, Port Arthur, Orange or surrounding area), send me an e-mail or call and leave a message, if I do not answer.

Everyone ride safe and be careful while out - if and when you can get out,

MISSOURI

Home Branch - Ozarks Trikers

A big Howdy goes out to everyone from the Ozarks Trikers branch of the TRIADICS FAMILY. We have had two meetings in the Branson, Missouri area. Our branch meets on the second Saturday of the month and we will be picking a new location for each meeting. Our first meeting was held in Protem, Missouri and the second in Seymour at Uncle Roosters, a really cool place to go. Next month, our branch will be getting together at La Pizza Cellar restaraunt and bar in Rockaway Beach. The Pizza Cellar is an awesome place to go, the staff is great and so is the pizza. As the "Home Branch" of the family, we will be taking on the task of organizing a get together in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. We were hoping to get some information in for this newsletter, but didn't make it. We will get the dates and times sent out to branch leaders in the next week, so they can start passing the information around. Again, i would like to invite everyone out to our next meeting in Rockaway, so you can have a chance to learn more of what our family is all about.

Take care,

Derek "Lefty" Martin

ARIZONA

Arizona Trikers

Hello from Arizona.

Our riding season is quickly approaching. We had our first meeting on February 21st and 6 members attended. We basically discussed what we would like to do and what the future of Triadics would hold. First thing is to get everyone up and running.

Our next meeting will be held March 26th. We'll be meeting at 5 pm for dinner at Golden Corral, Northern and 51st. Meeting to follow at Mr. T and Skid's.

Hope to see you there,

Mr. T & Skid

OREGON

Salem Oregon Triadics

The Salem, Oregon Triadics met on February 14th, the second Saturday of the month. Eleven members, counting us, signed our Branch Book as official branch members. One more was added, who lives in Central Oregon and is in touch by email. Seven visitors also came to be with us.  We ate breakfast and visited and had fun.  We will be looking for another (quieter) meeting place, so check with us for the March 14th meeting location. Myron and Wally rode their trikes to the meeting on a clear, cool, sunny day.

We are all looking forward to warmer weather and the start of real riding season. There are several parades which we plan to attend in the summer.  Give us a call if you are out our way - 503-990-6250.

On three,

Wally and Marsha McPheeters
